Principles of Operation:

• The Feed stock is introduced into a single or twin steam heated drums in a uniform film by use of variety of feeding devices and arrangements depending upon the material to be dried
• The moisture is dried off in less than one revolution and the dried solid is removed usually in the form of a thin sheet/powder by a Doctor Blade

Material of Drum Construction:

• The construction of a drum can be a mild steel, stainless steel/without hard chrome plating
• Surface will be machined and ground finished
• Drum rotating on anti friction self Aligning ball/roller bearing with standard housing
• The blade of the drum dryer are known as Doctor Blade and they depend upon compatibility carbon steel, stainless steel, Aluminium, Brass, Gum metal, etc.

Drive:

• Heavy duty drive is designed for smooth continuous and trouble free running with gear/motor variable speed adjustment is provided
